Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette was an American voice actress, actor, film and television star born January 31 1937 and passed away on the 19th of January, 2008. Pleshette began her career in theatre and appeared in films in late 1950s. Later, she was an important actress in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Then, she was in numerous television shows and was frequently as a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978, which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and choreographer who performed under her stage name of Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager at both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
